Set-Up for FOSTER Market

-------SET-UP START TIME IS 11am-11:30am. After 11:30 you are LATE.

If you are late, there may not be a spot for you.

Arrive during this window to begin your setup by finding HEATHER or LISA

SMALL SETUPS will be on the block of SE FOSTER & 65th-66th

ALL CANOPIES will be on SE FOSTER, 66th - 68th

+Vendors must be at least 18 years of age.

+All items sold shall be created by or made by the vendor. (some exceptions apply)

+No Vintage/ Resale unless they are transformed items.

+YOU MUST ADVERTISE THE MARKET ON YOUR INSTAGRAM. THIS IS YOUR PAYMENT.

+Must arrive during set up time listed for each market.

+Bring the setup size told to us during the selection process. Example: do not bring a 10x10 canopy if you were confirmed as a "small space" vendor.

+There are different areas for 10x10s and smaller setups, please confirm with us what type of setup you have so we can put you in the right place.

+10x10 canopies MUST be true 10x10, not the 10x10s that have legs that splay out. Those will not work with ADA accessibility on the Foster sidewalks. If you bring this canopy, you CANNOT USE IT.

+DO NOT BLOCK doorways, entrances, alleys, or ramps on sidewalks.

+Entire event must remain HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE at all times. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

+Squeeze in next to your neighbor, Don't Waste Space or take up more than you need. This is so we can fit as many vendors as possible into our market!

More vendors= More Market= Good Market!

+DO NOT LEAN ANYTHING on active buildings or storefronts, these are working businesses.

+Come prepared to pack your trash out and leave your space better than you found it. We want to be welcomed back by the neighborhood businesses.

+No vendor substitutions or unannounced vendor additions.

+DO NOT JUST SHOW UP if you are not a confirmed vendor. That's NOT how this works.

During the Event

-We encourage you to communicate with your neighbor. Watch their table if they must venture to the bathroom. Tell them your market stories. Share your wisdoms and your insights.

-Each market space is its own little store. Please be mindful of when your friends visit, allow space to still exist for neighboring booths, keep walkways clear, and send your friends to the rest of the market!

-Be aware of boundaries, do not encroach on other's customers while they are selling, let folks come to you if they want. :)

-Network and make new connections! Learn about other markets and opportunities!

These Streets

Some people live on these streets and wander these streets. Stay safe but let people live. If there is a houseless person's tent on the sidewalk, please move to the next available spot.

On the other hand, PROTECT YOUR SELF and your wares. Be aware of your surroundings, and communicate with other vendors if you notice theft, or any unwelcome situations. Lisa and Heather would like to be notified of these incidents, to try to prevent them in the future.

Complaint Department

This is a free-to-vend market birthed and run by two Disabled Artists.

There is no Complaint Department.

Extras

-We do not have official access to any bathroom. (try purchasing something somewhere and asking them)

-You may leave the market whenever you want for any reason. Just be on time in the beginning.

-No-Contact No-Shows will NOT be welcomed back to the MYMM.

-MYMM does not pay for any advertising. We will give priority to vendors who PROMOTE THE MARKET, communicate with us, and who are willing to be a helpful part of our Free Market Community.

*Each sidewalk market vendor MUST advertise the market on their INSTAGRAM.

*This is your VENDOR FEE. You can erase it after, i dont care, but you gotta promote.

-Heather & Lisa curate this market. We chose vendors that love what they do, whether they are just getting started, or have been around the blocks. We will host makers that promote good vibes. We will NOT work with humans that bring conflict into our market and our lives.

Since WE created this market, we DO take things personally, so please be aware of that.

*If we deem you an uncomfortable or troublesome person, we will not work with you.

-Vendor selection goes as follows: Ater receiving vendor requests, a core group of veteran MYMM Members are selected, then the rest of the spots are filled by random number generator. If you have been turned down for the last one, we will take that into consideration for placing you in the next one.
